AS EACH ONE IS CALLED, SO LET HIM WALK
“But as God has distributed to each one, as the Lord has called each one, so let him walk. And so I ordain in all the churches.” (I Corinthians 7:17).
“Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing, but keeping the commandments of God is what matters.” (I Corinthians 7:19).
We are all called unto obedience.
“Whatever one is, he has been named already, For it is known that he is man; And he cannot contend with Him who is mightier than he.” (Ecclesiastes 6:10).
Of our calling unto obedience, who are we to contend with God on this?
For God prefers obedience to sacrifice. Those who need to make a sacrifice unto God for the propitiation of their sins are those who, though we are called unto obedience, need to make sacrifices for disobedience. “I only gave them this command: ‘Obey me and I will be your God, and you will be my people. Do all that I command, and good things will happen to you.’” (Jeremiah 7:23).
“Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.” (Revelation 22:14).
“If you love Me, keep My commandments.” (John 14:15).
