FILL IN ME THE VOID

Father God, my Lord, my God,

My earnest petition is that in this void that is my complete emptiness without You,

I humbly ask that You fill me with a thorough understanding, and a deep knowing, of my position, and my purpose, and my place — in You!

That You would fill me with a full revelation and a knowledge of my true station, and my stature, and my standing — in You!

For as it is written in Romans 8:23, that “even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body”, I groan within myself, waiting for my adoption as Your son, for the redemption of my body at the long awaited sound of the homing beacon of Your trumpet call. Blow loudly and long, in my ear, Your great trumpet sound, that I may ascend with haste and with vigour to my place with You.

For did You not say in John 14:3 that You have gone to prepare a place for me? And that You would come back for me and take me to be with You, that I also may be where You are? For I have no need to be anywhere else but with You.

I have no desire of anything but You.

I am both lost, and nothing, without You.

You are my beginning, and my end.

My first, and my last.

My alpha, and my omega.

My Lord, and my Saviour.

For it is in You, alone, that I live and move and have my entire being (Acts 17:28).

For is it not written that You are before all things, and in You all things hold together? Colossians 1:17.

And that to everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven? Ecclesiastes 3:1.

For have You not called all things to their place?

Bring me, my God, to the altar of consecration, my Father,

That I may take my place alongside and beside my Father, as a true son fittingly should.

Call me, Father, to my place, and to my position, and to my purpose.

Establish me in my station, and in my standing, and in my stature.

That I may exalt my King and my God, as You alone deserve, with all my heart and all my adoration

With all my love and my song.

But move swiftly and purposefully upon these waters, my dear God.

Dally not.

For the groans within me grow wild and restless and urgent.

Call unto me, my LORD.

Summons me.

And let me be found where You are.

So that my cup may runneth over,

And my heart may finally be full.

This we ask and pray and thank You for, in Jesus’ holy and hallowed name, amen and amen.
