GOD'S FINAL WILL AND TESTAMENT

God’s written word is “His final will and testament” to all His children. And to whom other than unto one’s children does one leave their final will and testament? For is not Jesus the Word made flesh? And is it not the Word that saves? And as the living Word, did He not lay down His life for all? Did He not lay down His own life so that none should perish? Is it not the will of God that all should stand up in the last day? Is not every promise our portion and inheritance? Did He not say that not a single word shall return void? Is that not His will and testament to all who come unto Him as Father? And is not His testament a covenant between God and man? For is not a final will and testament a legal document by which a person, the testator, expresses their wishes as to how their property is to be distributed at death, and names one or more persons, the executor, to manage the estate until its final distribution? And did He not name the Holy Spirit as His executor? Did He not say that when He goes that the Helper shall come? And does His Word not have the final say? And when the Helper comes, is it not written as His will and final testament, “When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.” (John 16:3). And if he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears, he will speak, is that not one who executes the will and testament of another? And, as such, does not the will then survive the deceased? Is it then not a living document? As such, is the Word not a living Word? And is it not the promise of God that He will be His own executor of His every Word? For is it not written that God will look after His own Word to perform it? “You have observed correctly,” said the LORD, “for I am watching over My word to accomplish it.” (Jeremiah 1:12). And as His Word always has the final say, as part of that Will and Testament, is it not expressly promised that, “38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord”? (Romans 8:38-39).

“4 I am your God and will take care of you until you are old and your hair is gray. I made you and will care for you; I will give you help and rescue you. 5 "To whom will you compare me?" says the Lord. "Is there anyone else like me? 6 People open their purses and pour out gold; they weigh out silver on the scales. They hire a goldsmith to make a god; then they bow down and worship it. 7 They lift it to their shoulders and carry it; they put it in place, and there it stands, unable to move from where it is. If any pray to it, it cannot answer or save them from disaster. 8 "Remember this, you sinners; consider what I have done. 9 Remember what happened long ago; acknowledge that I alone am God and that there is no one else like me. 10 From the beginning I predicted the outcome; long ago I foretold what would happen. I said that my plans would never fail, that I would do everything I intended to do. 11 I am calling a man to come from the east; he will swoop down like a hawk and accomplish what I have planned. I have spoken, and it will be done. 12 "Listen to me, you stubborn people who think that victory is far away. 13 I am bringing the day of victory near - it is not far away at all. My triumph will not be delayed. I will save Jerusalem and bring honour to Israel there." (Isaiah 46:4-13 GNT).

Thank You ABBA Father that we should all have a Father like You who is so totally and fully mindful of His own, and who will never leave us or forsake us, and who has bequeathed such a rich inheritance to all who would come and eat from Your table and call You Father.

“Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.”

(1 Timothy 1:17)
