THE SANCTUARY OF PATERNAL PROXIMITY
"I know now that I have to speak from eternity into time, from the lasting joy into the passing realities of our short existence in this world, from the house of love into the house of fear, from God's abode into the dwelling of human beings.
I have to kneel before the Father, put my ear against His chest and listen, without interruption, to the heartbeat of God. Then, and only then, can I say carefully and very gently what I hear." - Henri Nouwen
May we all find our rightful place so delightfully inclined that we are so near to the heavenly Father that we too can feel the egress of His nostrils upon our heads and the reassuring drumbeat of His loving heart reverberate in our ears.
For such is the deepest desire of all children -- that they may never leave the safe haven of the sanctuary of paternal proximity.
