DIVIDE THE SPOIL
There is a scripture that not only confirms for us that there will be a judgment, and that the judgment will be for all, but that tells us plainly that one group of people shall STAND when judgment comes, and that one group shall NOT STAND after the judgment. And by not standing, it implies that one group shall FALL. Which fulfils the great prophetic word that pride always brings a fall.
“Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment,
Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.”
(Psalms 1:5)
Pride always goes before a fall. Whether it is a fall by the mercy seat of the Lord, by which a haughty spirit becomes a humble spirit, which is a fall from which one can get up, or whether it is a fall at the end of time, like the fall of the morning star of Lucifer from glory to shame for the haughty spirit that refuses to become humble, which is fall from which one shall never get up, pride always brings a fall, one way or the other. “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.” (Proverbs 16:18-19).
The FRUIT OF JUDGMENT will be that one kind of spirit shall stand and another kind of spirit shall fall. For is it not written that by its fruit a tree shall be known? And when that judgment comes, better it is to be of a humble spirit with the lowly than to divide the spoil with the proud.
For those who have a humble spirit rather than a haughty spirit, they will be like trees of righteousness, which like any tree, is a tree that starts first as a seed of righteousness, and then through the watering of a humble spirit, grows from a seed into a fully grown tree of righteousness that never fails to produce fruit of righteousness. Which is a tree that when judgment comes, produces the fruit of standing rather than falling. For it is a tree that has come to stand in the congregation of the righteousness, which is a tree that when the heat comes, it’s leaves are always green. Which is a tree that when the heat of the judgment comes, is a tree that has no worries in a year of drought, for its roots are planted by the water of the river of life.
“They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit."” (Jeremiah 17:8).
Sol Deo gloria.
Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be all the honour and all the glory for ever and ever. Amen. (1 Timothy 1:17).
