ALL YOUR WAVES HAVE SWEPT OVER ME

Dear LORD my God, my Father

Your heart is a deep and everlasting well.

And all Your waves have swept over me.

From Your unplumbed depths, I drink my most complete fill.

From Your rich belly, comes my everlasting supply and never ending sustenance.

For You are the table You have prepared for me before all my enemies.

From Your fountain of plenty, my cup runs forever over.

From Your boundless supply, I am both full, yet always thirsty — satisfied, yet always hungry.

I drown myself in Your vast ocean of sumptuous plenty.

For You are a river of life unto my every sinew and bone.

Your gentle waters are not only the soft embrace that completely envelopes me, but as I surrender to Your depths, Your waters are the zero gravity hands that lift all the weight off my shoulders, and effortlessly carry all of me.

Pull us in ever and ever deeper, LORD.

As deep calls unto deep.

Dig Your tent pegs in deeper and deeper,

And lengthen Your ropes.

Enlarge the place of Your tent,

And stretch out the curtains of Your dwelling.

Make Your dwelling place amongst us LORD.

Put Your laws within us

And write Your laws on our hearts

That You may be our God

And we may be Your people.

"Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls; all your waves and breakers have swept over me." [Psalm 42:7]
