My Father, my God

You merely say the word,

And there is light!

You merely speak the word,

And dead bones rise!

Every start and every end,

Hangs on the Your voice,

For it is true,

Your word never returns void...

For is it not by the mere words you speak,

That You change the times,

And that You change the seasons?

That You depose kings,

And raise up others?

That You give wisdom to the wise,

And knowledge to the discerning?

Say the word,

Let there be light in my heart!

And life in my bones!

Just say the word,

Father in heaven,

And it shall be done.
