May all about me be still,
And then,
From the utter silence and calm,
May I hear the Most High voice linger,
Upon the singular utterance,
That is my name.
Father, may I hear You call my name?
May I hear, for the very first time, You utter my name?
For then I will know,
Surely then I will most certainly know,
That I am truly Yours,
And that You are most gratefully mine.
Call out to me, oh heavenly God,
Call unto me, my LORD,
Beckon me with Your voice,
Speak unto me,
Reach out to me with Your voice, O Father...
...And speak my name...
For THEN I will be instantly complete,
For THEN I will be suddenly full,
For all I wait to hear,
Is that I am Your son,
For THEN my heart will find its deepest rest,
Knowing that You are ...
