ONE LOVE

Physics is known as the "fundamental science" because it creates the FOUNDATION for all "other sciences". In fact, it is the branch of "natural knowledge" that tries to answer FUNDAMENTAL QUESTIONS around everything that is physical, being all that we see. It is concerned with the phenomena and properties of matter and energy. It is the single-minded pursuit by man to analyze and understand the natural phenomena of the universe.

The building blocks that underpin the constitution of man's understanding and knowledge of the universe are the embodiment of "the laws" of physics. These are governing principals that frame the properties and nature of matter in terms of a number of "universal truths", such as GRAVITY, so that man can "consistently predict" how things will ultimately behave. One such law of physics that describes the nature of the universe and everything physical in it, is that of "ENTROPY", which is the law of thermodynamics that states that everything progresses towards "a state of decay". In other words, everything progresses towards a lack of order or predictability, or towards a gradual decline into ultimate disorder. Which, effectively, would appear to thwart the very thing man is trying to achieve through physics - which is to arrive at a sense of order and predictability.

On the other hand, in the realm of that which is UNSEEN, there is a universal and abiding principle of "KINGDOM PHYSICS" that entirely reverses the natural order of the universe and everything in it progressing towards an inevitable state of decline, decay, and disorder. And at the same time, it is also the precise law of kingdom physics that underpins the much sought after end-state of predictability, being that deep-seated and exigent need in man that has driven the pursuits of man throughout all the ages to those fundamental questions "of life and the universe", all of which have accumulatively produced the comprehensive body of physics in the first place.

And this law of kingdom physics that counteracts and opposes the gradual decline of everything into decay and disorder is the life force that is God's blueprint of love. Which is not just any kind of love. But a unique and distinct and differentiated love. And it's most certainly not man's definition of love. It is God's law of kingdom physics that is "One Love". It's the love that comes from being ONE with the Father, first, and then ONE with our neighbour, second, so that we may ALL be one, just as the Son is one with Father. "That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us:" - JOHN 17:21

This is incidentally why God detests divorce, not primarily because it is sin, but because it fundamentally breaks the highest of principles, which is oneness. Divorce introduces not only unpredictability. It introduces decay and disorder and decline. It undoes all that true love stands for. And it establishes the opposite of oneness. True love is the law of spiritual thermodynamics that POLARISES all that is life as we both know and experience into a sense of true order, and of genuine predictability, and into a lifestyle of abiding harmony and peace. Which are also all the hallmarks of LIVING AUTHENTICALLY. Which is a reality that is only POSSIBLE through oneness, and is only AVAILABLE through the phenomena that is "One Love". And it is the blueprint of the unique kind of love that comes exclusively from MATTHEW 22:37-39

But JOHN 17:21 says one extra thing: "that the world may believe that thou hast sent me." It is only by representing a different kind of love, one which stands apart from the world's notion of love, that the world may firstly believe that the Father sent the Son. It is only on the strength of the evidence of a love differentiated that the fundamental questions of man will find a different answer. How else do people know that both God "as God" and God "as Father" are real and legitimate and authentic? It's by PROVING He exists by representing a love that is unique. By presenting this different love, we ultimately end up PROVING His good and acceptable and perfect will. Which is by being both a witness and a blessing to others in a way that produces evidence that demands a verdict.

If our love is not the same as His love, if it is not of the calibre of "one love", how will man recognise a greater love than what man living separate from God has reduced love into? It HAS to be different. It HAS to have a differentiated value proposition, or what else will make man believe that there is something more, something better, something superior, something everlasting? Man's own version of love is subject to the same principle of entropy that all else in nature is. There is only one life force that reverses the process of entropy, and that is God. It's by drinking from the well of "one love", which is the oneness of first drinking from the wellspring of the heart of the Father (through fellowship or communion with the Father), and then pouring out that love for others (through community with man). It has to have a different fragrance if it is to stand out. Hence why God gifts us with the ability to express the different dimensions of His true love through our gifts, gifts that will make people stop and notice and pass a verdict on the evidence of what can by no other means be anything other than both the hand and the heart of God.

Release us, Father, to express Your love, that all may come to know who You are. That all may know You are both God and Father. That the evidence of Your love allows for no other verdict than one that true love comes exclusively from the throne room of heaven. Release me, oh Lord. Like Isaiah, I put up my hand and say, "Here I am. Send me!" That Your name may be above all names, that it may be forever in neon lights, and that Your love may be preeminent and prominent, first and foremost in everyone's hearts and lives. Release me and all Your church to feed the masses, to heal the sick, the lonely, the broken-hearted, the dejected, and comfort the lost, that all may come to live with us in the House that Jesus has gone before us all to prepare for us all. This we humbly ask and pray and thank Your for in the hallowed name of Jesus, amen and amen.

"Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen." - 1 TIMOTHY 1:17
