LIFE IS WHERE THE FATHER IS
The Word of God is the gold standard against which all truth is measured. There is no other measure. You take a look at the parable of the prodigal son - his father gave him his inheritance, and the message is: no matter how rich you are, no matter how many worldly treasures your wealth can fill your life with, for it is recorded he spent his money on wine, women and song, a life independent from the Father is no better than wallowing in a pig sty, which is where he ended.
And when we have realised that life without our Father is as empty and impoverished as a meal of pig slop, there is no better place to turn to than the open arms of our Father running to receive each and every one of us, who looks forever to the horizon, longingly awaiting our realisation that LIFE IS WHERE THE FATHER IS.
““Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, And whose hope is the LORD. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.” (Jeremiah 17:7-8)
