RADIATE YOUR GLORY
Dear LORD, our God, our all, and our sufficiency, pour out Your glory and Your grace like a sunburst of light, that just as an X-Ray sees the deep and hidden things, being those things that are entirely invisible to the naked eye, Your grace and glory and redeeming light may radiate every dark area of need and lack in our lives. Being every area and way where we still operate out of the “poverty of self-centredness”, and the “tragedy of selfishness”.
Examine us, O LORD, and search us. In our hearts and our minds (Psalm 26:2), discerning even between our bone and marrow, and our thoughts and our intents. Make us to know how many are our iniquities and sins. Be as a lamp unto our feet, and a light on our path (Psalm 119:105), so that before all of creation, we may humble ourselves and pray, and seek Your face, and turn from our dark ways. That You may heal our lands and forgive us our sins (2 Chronicles 7:14). So that all the earth may be filled with the knowledge of the glory of God on high.
Make us to know our every transgression and sin (Job 13:23). And as far as the east is from the west, remove our transgressions from us (Psalm 103:12). For the unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple (Psalm 119:130). That we may first repent, and then ascend from the valley of decision into the altitude and realm of the high hill of the glory of the LORD. That we may look upon the image and the likeness of whom we are all called to become. For “Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence, Lord" (Psalm 89:15).
So let no deep or hidden part of us remain untouched by the grace of Your radiance. And as we ascend, fill all our spaces and every space with You, filling us to our complete overflowing with the radiance of Your glorious light and joy. So that just as a son is the image and likeness of his father, we may all be as the radiance of Your glory, and the exact representation of Your being (Hebrews 1:3).
These things we humbly ask of You, and pray, so that when we then descend from on high, as we must, from that holy place of inner transfiguration, we may not only HAVE the light IN us (John 8:12), as our very own nature, but we may also CARRY the glory of He who is “the light of the world” UPON our countenance. So that not only will the world SMELL the pure fragrance of Your goodness and glory, as we descend, and TASTE the rich goodness and the glory of Your fruits, but the world will SEE Your goodness and glory with the naked eye. As did the Israelites upon Moses face.
So say the word, LORD! Decree it! And let the world see YOU!! Our LORD, our God! As a glory cloud about the faces and the hearts of all those who seek Your face, and call upon Your name. For what the heart of man looks unto, is what that man becomes. And if, in us, they see You, is it possible for any living thing to remain the same after having seen You? For such is the nature and power of Your light and Your glory.
So let Your glory rain pour down from the heavens, and wash these lands as white as snow. Soak Yourself into the very soil of our land, that every living thing that lives, and walks, and breaths, and succours itself from this land, may know that it is You who sustains not only its life, but all of life.
Be exalted in the earth, O LORD, as well as in the nations (Psalm 46:10). Unto all who seek Your face with all their heart (Jeremiah 29:13), be as a precious and priceless habitation! So that it may be fulfilled and come to pass what has been prophesied: “My dwelling place will be with them; I will be their God, and they will be my people.” (Ezekiel 37:27).
"Taste and see that the LORD is good;
blessed is the one who takes refuge in him."
(Psalm 34:8)
"For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground;
I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants."
(Isaiah 44:3)
