We don’t have a ministry. We have a function in the body of Christ. Jesus IS the ministry. We have a FUNCTION in the body of Christ according to Romans 12.

Ephesians 4:13 speaks of a body that is united in faith and in love according to the maturity of the stature of Jesus Christ. How do we become united in faith? By allowing there to be one head and one body with many parts (functions) in supporting the ministry of the Head.

A unity of faith comes when there is one Head - being one thought, one Spirit that leads, and the body follows.

God says heaven is His throne and the earth is His footstool. From His throne, the seat of His headship, He walks out His ministry throughout the footstool through the feet of His people carrying out their function on earth, so that it may be fulfilled that His will is done on earth as it is in heaven. As He wills it in heaven, from His throne, so it shall be on earth if His people have an ear to hear His voice, and follow all that it speaks in carrying out their function.

Which is a number of “foot soldiers” who have laid their lives down in fulfilling the commission of making disciples of all nations. That we may prove the good and acceptable and perfect will of our Father in heaven (Romans 12:2). Which is when He is the Head, and we are the body, united in faith, and in love, so that perfect love may have its perfect way, so that all the earth shall be filled with the glory of God (Habakkuk 2:14).
