FORGET NOT THE CHIEF CORNERSTONE
Is it not written that of the words that I speak, that they are Spirit, and they are life? And if they are life, are they then not life to those who receive them? For does My Word not also say, “For just as rain and snow fall from heaven and do not return without watering the earth, making it bud and sprout, and providing seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so My word that proceeds from My mouth will not return to Me empty, but it will accomplish what I please, and it will prosper where I send it”? (Isaiah 55:10-11). So then, shall the Word that proceeds from My mouth then not water the earth, making it bud and sprout? Shall it not accomplish what I please, and prosper wherever I send it?
And if My words are Spirit, are My words then not a seed? A seed that begets life? For if My words are Spirit AND life, is it not the seed of Spirit which then begets life? For am I not the seed of TRUE life? Which is an ABUNDANT life? And an incorruptible life, for am I not an incorruptible seed? And am I not also the sower of that seed? And am I not also the bread of life, so that the words that proceed from My mouth may be bread to the eater? For have I not said, of Me, eat and drink your fill? “I have come into my garden, my sister, my bride; I have gathered my myrrh with my spice. I have eaten my honeycomb and my honey; I have drunk my wine and my milk. Friends Eat, friends, and drink; drink your fill of love.” (Song of Solomon 5:1).
For if you eat your fill of Me, I have this to say. You will be complete, lacking nothing. For is it not written that “Through wisdom, a house is built, and by understanding it is established; by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches. A wise man is strong, yes, a man of knowledge increases strength”? (Proverbs 24:3-5). And shall you not grow in strength and wisdom if you fill yourself with the knowledge of Me? And is it not written that of the house that I shall build, that I am the chief cornerstone? So where, then, shall you find this chief cornerstone, that you may eat, and eat your fill? Is the cornerstone not all the words that have proceeded from My mouth that are recorded in the gospels? Are these words then not the chief cornerstone? For is it not true that every word that proceeded from the mouth of the apostles took their direction and bearings from the words that proceeded from My mouth? Which is from the wisdom by which a house is built? For is it not by their understanding of those words of wisdom that My house was then established by My apostles? Does this not make My words then the chief cornerstone of that house? Did they not establish My house upon this cornerstone?
So if you seek Me, shall you then not find Me in the words that I have spoken in the gospels? For has not the church of today forgotten the chief cornerstone? Do they not major on all the words of all My apostles, but neglect My beatitudes? Do they not forget My sermon on the mount? If you seek to build a house on wisdom so that by understanding it may be established, and so that it’s rooms may be filled with all treasures and riches, is it then not wise to begin with the chief cornerstone? For its words are Spirit, and they are life. And they shall never return to Me void. For as long as there is seedtime and harvest, which is as long as the earth shall remain, they shall provide both seed to the sower and bread to the eater. That for those who then eat of Me, they may be complete, lacking nothing.
“For it stands in Scripture: “See, I lay in Zion a stone, a chosen and precious cornerstone; and the one who believes in Him will never be put to shame.”” (1 Peter 2:6).
“The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone.” (Psalms 118:22)
“Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.” (James 1:18)
“Therefore ... receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.” (James 1:21)
