PLEASING GOD

We will please God if we diligently seek Him. And our reward will be that if we seek Him, we shall find Him. For if we diligently seek Him, it “proves” our faith that He is For in order to seek Him and find Him, we need to truly believe that He is. In other words, it brings God great pleasure for us to find Him. Which tells us God WANTS us to find Him. “I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me.” (Proverbs 8:17).

“By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, “and was not found, because God had taken him”; for before he was taken he had this testimony, THAT HE PLEASED GOD.” But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God MUST BELIEVE THAT HE IS, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”‭‭(Hebrews‬ ‭11:5-6‬).

1 Chronicles 16:11 tells us, “Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always.” So God will reward those whose hope is in finding the LORD, for faith is the substance of things hoped for. Enoch pleased God. So Enoch’s faith was found to be genuine and true. He believed that God is. And for His faith, God rewarded Enoch by him not being found. For he was with God.

So the good news is God WANTS to be found. It pleases Him that we want to find Him. For no good thing shall our Father in heaven withhold (Matthew 7:7-11) from those who seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33). For the promises of God in Deuteronomy and Jeremiah declare that those who seek God will find Him if they seek Him with all their heart. All their heart means without any unbelief or doubt. “You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13. “But if from there you will seek the LORD your God, you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul.” Deuteronomy 4:29.

“Now devote your heart and soul to seeking the LORD your God. Begin to build the sanctuary of the LORD God, so that you may bring the ark of the covenant of the LORD and the sacred articles belonging to God into the temple that will be built for the Name of the LORD.” 1 Chronicles 22:19.

“Those who know your name trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you” Psalm 9:10.

“The LORD looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God.” Psalm 14:2
