By tearing down the walls of Jericho, being representative of the walls and strongholds that keep man independent and separate from fellowship with his Creator and Father, God gets to the "gold" and "silver" that are the "hearts" and "souls" of man. "But all the silver, and gold, and vessels of brass and iron, are consecrated unto the LORD: they shall come into the treasury of the LORD." - JOSHUA 6:19. For as with any earthly father, the ultimate treasure for the heavenly Father is, and has always been, His beloved children, being in essence all of man. 

 

 

     By the "intervention of INTERCESSION", and by the "collision with LOVE", may we take by "the VIOLENCE of an unadulterated TRUTH (iron)", and by "the FORCE of an all-conquering GOOD (brass)", absolutely ALL that which needs to come into the treasury of Your barns and storehouse. And for all the VIOLENCE the kingdom has suffered, and for all that has been taken from it by FORCE (MATTHEW 11:12), we ask that You equip us with the pioneering spirit of Your Son, to both apprehend and redeem, and restore and reclaim, for You, our Father and our God, just like Your Son our King before us, every lost soul, every orphaned spirit, every spiritual widow, and every last sheep that has gone astray. 

 

 

     For GOLD is a type of "divine nature" (spirit). And SILVER speaks of "righteousness" (soul). (MALACHI 3:2-4). Together, gold and silver speak of our being made conformable to the "image and likeness" of the LORD (2 CORINTHIANS 3:8), and to becoming so completely compatible with Him, that we are qualified to become His bride (REVELATION 19:7-9). An anecdotal reference of someone who paid a visit to a silversmith, she asked the craftsman at which point during his refining process did he know that the silver was rightly refined, to which he replied: "When I can see my REFLECTION in it."

 

 

     In order for man to qualify as His bride, the Word clearly states that righteousness (silver) ought not to be "unequally yoked" with unrighteousness. Hence we need to be refined as silver. Which is also why we need to die to the "old nature" of the first Adam so that we can come alive to the "divine nature" (gold) of the Last Adam. Our second nature (divine nature) needs to become second nature. And, ultimately, in the refining process of maturing man into HIS BRIDE, as with the marriage between man and woman, as His bride, we arrive at that ultimate end goal where we become ONE with our LORD, the bridegroom, just as the Son is one with the Father. In so doing, just as Jesus said that if we have seen Him that we have then also seen the Father, if the world has seen us, having ourselves been refined into gold and silver, then the world has likewise also seen the Son. And it is for THIS reason that we are to go INTO the world (JOHN 17:18), so that when the world looks unto the "unusualness of us", like that of the burning bush of Moses, they are drawn to Jesus. 

 

 

     As mentioned in JOSHUA 6:19 above, like with the silver and gold, the "vessels of brass and iron" are likewise CONSECRATED unto the LORD, and taken into the TREASURY of the LORD. Such things as gold, silver, brass and wood were used in "the ark" and in "the tabernacle" and in "the temple". "Brass" represents NATURAL GOOD. "Iron" represents NATURAL TRUTH. As such, having had our hearts and souls transformed in the divine nature and righteousness of gold and silver, as the vessels of that harbour the gold and silver of both the divine nature and righteousness, our bodies equally need to be vessels of honour. In fact, in terms of that honour, our bodies are the temple of God. "Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own" - 1 CORINTHIANS 16:9. Just as the tabernacle was the PORTABLE dwelling place of God with the children of Israel from the time of Exodus, man is the PORTABLE residence of the Holy Spirit. And, as such, man is a TEMPLE that needs to be a vessel of brass (naturally good) and a vessel of iron (natural truth). Our bodies need to be consecrated for the purposes of being the temple of both the divine nature (gold) of God through Christ and the righteousness (silver) of God through Christ.

 

 

     “Then the word of the LORD came by Haggai the prophet, saying, “ Is it time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses, and this temple to lie in ruins?” Now therefore, thus says the LORD of hosts: “Consider your ways!” - HAGGAI‬ ‭1:3-5‬. May we consider our ways, Father, and build Your temple, and store up for You treasures of gold and silver in heaven, "where neither moth nor rust consumes and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." - MATTHEW 6:19-21.

 

 

     LORD, stir up our spirits, that we too may work to build and restore the glory of Your house. "“So the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and worked on the house of the LORD of hosts, their God,” - HAGGAI‬ ‭1:14‬.  For Your prophetic Word declares that, "The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,’ says the LORD of hosts. ‘The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,’ says the LORD of hosts. ‘And in this place I will give peace,’ says the LORD of hosts.”” - HAGGAI ‭2:8-9‬. "Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings. For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and for stones iron; I will also make thy tribute peace, and thine exactors righteousness" - ISAIAH 60:16, 17.

 

 

     For it is not the gold and silver that the world pursues that will be of any value in the final analysis. “Neither their silver nor their gold Shall be able to deliver them In the day of the LORD’s wrath; But the whole land shall be devoured By the fire of His jealousy, For He will make speedy riddance Of all those who dwell in the land.” - ZEPHANIAH‬ ‭1:18‬. But only the silver and gold that is bought through the refiners fire that will be the appropriate "legal tender" for delivering man in the day of the LORD's wrath. "I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may become rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed; and eye salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see." - REVELATION 3:18.

 

 

 

 

 

 

“Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.
