Is faith not the great romance? Which is a heart wooed and persuaded by a truth and nature revealed by the courtship of the Word? Where the Word is the nature of God made flesh? So that our hearts may all taste, touch, smell, see and hear the nature of God made known with eyes that can see, and ears that can hear, and a heart that can receive and understand? Which is a courtship based on making His entire heart known openly before all men — without any withholding or reservation. Which is to put His love out there, and let His love do its thing.

     For what romance has any chance if what is presented is a lie, or if any part of the heart or the truth is withheld? Or if those who claim to love us don’t think we are worth the truth? That in order to win our affection, that they need to lie to us? For God not only thinks we are all worth the truth, and not only does He WANT us to have the truth — which He gives to all freely — but His truth is the kind of truth that sets hearts free. What does that say about His nature and how much He loves us?

     And of this love and truth, we have all been begotten unto an inheritance INCORRUPTIBLE AND UNDEFILED, one that does NOT fade away, one which is a LIVING hope, being RESERVED for us all in heaven, according to His abundant mercy. Which is a plan to not only PROSPER us and not harm us, but to give us a FUTURE and a HOPE. Jeremiah 29:11.

     For does a future that reserves an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled that prospers us not provide us all with a living hope?

     Which is an inheritance so formidable that not only the prophets of old inquired and searched carefully into, “searching what, or what manner of time, the Spirit of Christ who was in them was indicating when He testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow”, ‭‭I Peter‬ ‭1:11‬, but being an inheritance that even “angels desire to look into”.

     Does this not speak of an unparalleled love of Father for His child and a joy inexpressible? Of a promise for which we ought to keep our eyes forever inclined upwards towards the high hill from which our help comes from? Psalm 121:1. And one to hold onto with both hands and with all our hope? As a LIVING hope? Of an inheritance and a truth our hearts can place our complete trust and faith in?

     Therefore gird up the loins of your mind. Be sober, and REST your hope FULLY upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. I Peter‬ ‭1:13‬.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,”‭‭ I Peter‬ ‭1:3-4‬.
