Upon those wings we specifically soar so as to arrive at the elevated "heights of perspective" and the "altitude of long-sightedness".

TO THE POWER OF THREE

If those who hope in the LORD will fly on the wings of eagles, and if faith is the evidence of things hoped for, and if faith comes from hearing, then it is "His Word" that is the very wind that buoys us upon those same wings.

"But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint".

- Isaiah 40:31

The LORD promises for those who HOPE in Him, that we shall all soar upon the wings of eagles. And of this HOPE, He also tells us that faith is the evidence of things HOPED for (Hebrews 11:1). And that our faith comes from the hearing of the Word (Romans 10:17). As such, if those who hope in the LORD will fly on the wings of eagles, and if faith is the evidence of things hoped for, and if faith comes from hearing, then it is "His Word" that is the very wind that buoys us upon those same wings. And upon those wings we specifically soar so as to arrive at the elevated "heights of perspective" and the "altitude of long-sightedness".

From these twin positions, He firstly provides the PERSPECTIVE of "seeing all things", which speaks of wisdom. WISDOM operates as a function of seeing the full picture. Wisdom is also the principal thing (Proverbs 4:7). As with altitude, wisdom offers the passage of life and time a much-needed extra dimension. It lifts us above the natural limits and constraints that travelling in the dust of life insists upon. And so, too, does the operation of soaring upon the wings of eagles. Encumbered to the earth, man travels of his own accord in two dimensions at best. And therein lies the allure that has for time everlasting inspired the hearts and dreams of man. Flight offers man an extra dimension to his two-dimensional existence and prison. Wisdom offers man an extra dimension to transforming that same existence by "the power of three". And there is yet another "power of three" so powerful and mighty, that no one can stand against it (2 Chronicles 20:6).

At the same time, long-sightedness also provides for seeing that which is approaching from a very long way off. This speaks of FORESIGHT. And foresight prescribes the luxury of time. The time to both thoroughly anticipate as well as to prepare. The call of altitude ensures we live and walk a lifestyle of separation from all those daily distractions that consume and entangle those who are without perspective and wisdom. It also provides options. On the wings of eagles, we can either rise higher, out of range, or drop lower, below the measure of detection. This means that we are also able to travel to the furthest extremities of altitude where no fiery dart of the enemy could ever hope to reach. We are able to abide at altitudes beyond the pollution line and contamination belt of the world. Our eyes can see in unobstructed degrees, and our ears are able to hear even the faintest whisper of the LORD travelling along the trade winds from heaven. And upon those wings, we are free. Such is the magnificent call of hope, that we shall soar upon the wings of eagles.

Oh LORD, that the heavens would now be filled with the busyness and bustle of all who are Your own soaring in the lofty altitudes and heights of the wisdom of Your Word. That angels may abound and delight at the symphony of man soaring upon the wings of eagles at heights that belonged previously only to angels.

"Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time." - 1 Peter 5:6

- To God alone be the glory, forever and ever. Amen.
