“The Son of Man came not to be served but to serve,

and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

     The ways of the world are completely opposed to and opposite to the thoughts and ways of God. For whilst every world way and system breeds “servant masters”, the Lord Himself shows a different way, and a different heart — which as the King of kings, is to be a “master servant”.

     Which is to completely invert the cultural and belief hierarchies of the world, turn them upside down, like tables and chairs on the ceiling, and replace them with an entirely better way. Which is the way of perfect love.

     For is perfect love not the perfect example of being a “master servant”? For is it not rightly written that “It is more blessed to give (serve others) than to receive (master others)”?

“In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’””
