SAY TO THIS MOUNTAIN, MOVE!
"The mountains melt like wax at the presence of the LORD,
At the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.
The heavens declare His righteousness,
And all the peoples see His glory.”
- Psalms 97:3-6 -
May every remaining Jericho wall that starves our souls from the indwelling presence of You, melt like wax at the presence of the Lord. And like smoke, may the winnowing fan of Your Potter's hand blow their last remains forever away. Your Word tells us "a fire goes before You". Burn away the tares in our lives, Lord, that the fields of our souls may swell with the wheat of a 100-fold harvest.
"Is not my word like fire," declares the LORD, "and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?
- Jeremiah 23:29 -
Break all that remains as stone of heart into powder, precious King. With the hilt of the blade of Your Word, pummel every last rock of our stubbornness and rebellion into fine dust. Let Your Word cleave through our resilience and obstinacy like a sword through hot butter. Lift up our souls unto You, that they may be forever bouyed upon the trade winds of privileged intimacy with You
"The mountains melt beneath him and the valleys split apart, like wax before the fire, like water rushing down a slope"
- Micah 1:4 -
May the rivers of Your living waters descend upon us like water rushing down a slope. Split apart every last vestige of our remaining independence from You. Flatten every mountainous barrier that stands in the way of Your perfect will being expressed and accomplished in our lives. Be satisfied with Your handiwork. And let the voice of our Father utter again and again from the windows of heaven, "This is My Son in whom I am well pleased!"
- To God be all the glory, forever and ever. Amen and amen.
