THE END OF A THING
"Better is the end of a thing than its beginning" - ECCLESIASTES 7:8
For those who wish to avail themselves of its majestic kindness, God's grace is one of the most astonishing displays of love available to the heart of man. It is the Father heart in the sumptuous fullness of all its powerful and paternal glory. And once apprehended by the sensibilities of man, it is not difficult to appreciate why it is overwhelmingly true that His ways are not our ways. Because many a man would not find the temperament of heart, nor the depth of resources of love, to extend the hand of equal grace towards his neighbour like the Father heart repeatedly does.
This is why His Word also declares that "where sin abounds, grace abounds more" - ROMANS 5:20, and that "love covers a multitude of sins" - 1 PETER 4:8. His heart of forgiveness is the love that covers multitudes upon multitudes of sin, not only for us personally, but for all of man universally. God's heart and love shows no bias to any man. He offers the same grace to all. And it is for this reason, too, that the Bible says, "Better is the end of a thing than its beginning" - ECCLESIASTES 7:8.
By God's grace, even though a man may stumble, and even though a man may yet plummet down the sheer face of the worst sin, by the one hand of His grace, and the other hand of His love, our God as Father will lift man up onto his feet again, and help pat down the dust off him, and urge him forever forward so that he "ends the race well" - 2 TIMOTHY 4:7. And He does this so that it may be so that "better is the end of a thing than it's beginning".
God's astonishing love is more than enough. It is more than sufficient for those who genuinely turn their hearts towards it in order to apprehend it. Through the simpleness that is the humility of heart to apologise, our Father's grace is a cup that permanently overflows with a Father's love for all who would seek to take of His outstretched hand of kindness and love. "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." - JEREMIAH 29:13.
"Blessed are they who do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled." - MATTHEW 5:6.
"But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul." - DEUTERONOMY 4:29
