The theme and narrative of the world messaging is to "escape life".

Every advert is a variation of escaping to "an idyllic getaway".

The underlying motif is about "switching off" and "thoroughly escaping".

Media is a symphony of "Escape with me to an island retreat".

Or "run away with me".

God wants us to "FIND life" not escape from it.

Running AWAY is about "retreat".

Running TO is about "advancing".

The kingdom suffers violence when we lose ground through retreating rather than advancing.

Retreat is about going back.

The ethos of life is ALWAYS about moving forward.

We gain life, we find life, when we pursue love.

We are called to ADVANCE the Kingdom of God, which we do by pursuing love, which means to not escape from life but to promote, prosper and preserve life.

Which is to engage the world rather than retreat from it.

It's about confronting the world with the soft word of love that is able to break bones (i.e. breathe life into dead bones, persuade the rigidity of stubbornness). (PROVERBS 25:15).

For THAT is the WAY, and the TRUTH and THE LIFE.

Such is the aegis of love.

"From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been subject to violence, and the violent lay claim to it." - MATTHEW 11:12.

"The name of the LORD is a fortified tower; the righteous RUN TO IT and are safe." PROVERBS 18:10.

The sphere of our influence is the world, not the church.

Which does not mean retreat, but advance, engage, not withdraw.

"You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." MATTHEW 5:14-16.

To God be the glory, forever and ever. Amen and amen.
