THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD
Whether we want to believe it or not, we are all in a fight, whether you want to be or not. For whether you are a “son of the world” or a “son of the only living God”, you are in a fight. For if you are a child of God, you are automatically against the works of the enemy. And you are in a fight. And if, on the other hand, you are a child of the world, is it not said, “Whoever is not with Me is against Me” (Matthew 12:30)? Therefore, whoever is against Him, he too is in a fight. And as such, we are ALL in a fight. All that remains is for us to choose on which side of the fight we shall stand.
And if those who choose the latter think they are taking the safe option, these are all those who are saying that they will take their chances against “the right hand of God”. And when it comes to the right hand of God, does Exodus 15:6 not say, “Your right hand, O LORD, is majestic in power, Your right hand, O LORD, shatters the enemy”? Does Your word not teach that “Your hand will find out all your enemies; Your right hand will find out those who hate you” (Psalm 21:8)? Does Psalm 83:19 not also tell us, “You have a strong arm; Your hand is mighty, Your right hand is exalted”? And of this power, is it not said, “"Surely My hand founded the earth, And My right hand spread out the heavens” (Isaiah 48:13)? Then, if it is true that in the right hand of God, there lies power, strength and might sufficient to spread out all the heavens, by comparison, is the earth then not like a speck of dust? And then, for all those on that same earth, is it not likewise said, “Surely the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are regarded as dust on the scales; he weighs the islands as though they were fine dust.” (Isaiah 40:15)? What, then, does this say of all those who side with men and nations, thinking they have sided with the right arm of power? For does Psalm 83:19 not plainly say God’s right hand IS exalted?
On the other hand, for all those who choose to sit on the right side of the right hand of God, are we not told that at His right hand, “there are pleasures forevermore”? Which tells us that the pleasures one can find in His right hand shall never, ever run out. That His right hand shall never be empty. “You will show me the path of life: in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.” (Psalm 16:11). Can the men of the world and all the nations promise that?
For those who find the path of life, which is to enter into the fullness of joy that is the Presence of the Father, what lies in His right hand will flow unabated and unchecked like the rivers of living water. It shall find no end. For at its source is a wellspring so deep that it’s depths cannot be plumbed. For it is the fountain of life. It is without beginning and end. And in it, we shall find the fullness of joy. For is it not true that when a child receives a gift from his father or mother, that upon taking it from the hand of his parent, that the child’s pleasure suddenly abounds and his joy is at once immediate? And in the giving and the receiving, is there not life? And life abundantly? Does not a river of life spring forth that flows from the hand of the father to the open sea of the heart of his child?
Furthermore, is it not true that to be in a position to receive from the right hand, one needs to be at a proximity that speaks of “closeness and intimacy”? And is closeness and intimacy with the God of all the heavens and earth in itself not a pleasure forevermore? For is it not recorded in Jeremiah that, “You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart”? For does the Word of God not teach that “God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6)? And is it not said that to be at the right side "is to be identified as being in the special place of honour”? Does this not tell us that for those who seek God, being those who draw near to Him, that our reward is that He will draw near to us, and that our reward is He will place us in a position of honour? Which is to sit at His right side. Which is a position that, for all eternity, from His right hand we may find pleasures forevermore with no end.
So “if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”” (Joshua 24:15).
