THE CHOICE IS YOURS

You are the only person who can make the choice to embrace the call of God. No one else is going to do it for you. Not even God. The Word may draw us, and the Holy Spirit may woo us, but the purpose of free will is that we all need to make our own choice.

Which includes making either the most — or the least — of the seedtime that is this time, and life, here and now on earth.

For our calling in God is not to be confused with salvation. Our calling deals with what we become in Christ once we are saved. Which speaks to our kingdom purpose and our destiny in Christ once we emerge through the small gate of salvation onto the narrow road that leads to life. Matthew 7:14.

Which is when we embrace Jesus as “Lord” too, not just as “Saviour”. Which is when we allow Jesus to declare “the end” (our destiny in God) from “the beginning” (our salvation in God). Isaiah 46:10. Which is when, of our own free choice and volition, we willingly deny ourselves and follow Jesus up the mountain of discovery, identity and purpose so that we may find life, and life abundantly.

Therefore, “Allow no sleep to your eyes, no slumber to your eyelids. Free yourself, like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter, like a bird from the snare of the fowler. Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise!” Proverbs 6:4-6.
