LIVING "AUTHENTICALLY"- PART 1: "KINGDOM PHYSICS"
In as much as in life there are telltale feedback loops to living "inauthentically", (such as distress and illness), equally in life, there are also telltale feedback loops to living "authentically" too. Living authentically is living "the kingdom life." The giveaway "reflections" of a kingdom life are the telling feedback loops of "LIVING in the Spirit" and "WALKING in the Spirit." For in Galatians 5:25, God duly emphasises: "if we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit."
Likewise, "living in the Spirit" AND "walking in the Spirit" are the signature expressions of an authentic life of kingdom living. When it comes to kingdom living, God has much to say. One of His blueprint principles of kingdom physics is His pronouncement, "I give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven. Whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." - Matthew 16:19. And just to make sure we haven't missed this powerful declaration, then, with added emphasis this time, God repeats Himself in Matthew 18:18 with, "TRULY (His emphasis), whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." And almost as if to permanently emphasise His own emphasis, God stands up the identical scriptural reference numbers of Matthew "18:18" face-to-face, emphasis-to-emphasis, as a mirror reflection of each other, drawing our "double attention" to this masterful law of spiritual physics.
Yet another trademark key to kingdom living is "doing the will of the Father." Jesus lived a faultlessly authentic life. Between His living and walking in the Spirit, and His doing the will of His Father, Jesus' life displayed immaculate integrity. His life was the impeccable expression and accomplishment of doing the will of His Father. "Not my will, but thine be done." - Luke 22:42. "For I have come down from heaven, not to do my will, but the will of Him who sent me." - John 6:38. "Jesus said to them, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent me, and to accomplish His work."" - John 4:34. Doing the will of the Father, therefore, is living with hallmark spiritual integrity. It proves and proclaims our authenticity. An authentic "van Gogh masterpiece" both expresses the will of its creator, and exists, at the express will of its creator.
Irrefutably, Jesus' life was, at the same time, the flawless expression and accomplishment of both "living in the Spirit" AND "walking in the Spirit". As such, (a) living in the Spirit and (b) walking in the Spirit are also, then, the feedback loops of doing "the will of the Father". And so, then, what we bind on earth, and what we loose on earth are boilerplate reflections of (a) "living in the will of the Father" and (b) "walking in the will of the Father". Collectively, they are the telltale reflections of authentic kingdom life.
Of kingdom living, then, as His kingdom citizens, God decrees as His kingdom charter that we are to all "Pursue love, and earnestly desire the spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy." (1 Corinthians 14:1). One of the preference bylaws to effective and authentic kingdom living, is especially "that you may prophesy". And of this preference, and only a few verses later, God clearly says, "For you ALL can prophesy, one by one." (1 Corinthians 14:31). So not only is prophesy preferable for all, in fact, we all CAN prophesy, one by one. A specific, self-fulfilling witness, then, of effectively expressing and accomplishing the will of the Father, is especially "that you may prophesy".
Without exception, Jesus remains the most effective person ever at "living the kingdom life". And also at "walking out the will of the Father". He was exemplary at living "authentically". He was also, notably, the greatest "prophet" who ever lived. So, included in His being authentic, then, included His being prophetic. Therefore, to live and walk in the Spirit, at a more authentic level, it is, thus, fundamental that one and all be prophetic. For we are all called to be "imitators of Christ" "Follow God's example, as dearly beloved children."(Ephesians 5:1). As God puts it, being imitators, and hence being prophetic, is in His own words "greatly to be desired." Likewise, what Jesus bound on earth, remained bound in heaven. What He loosed on earth, was loosed in heaven. And finally, above all things, Jesus "pursued love".
So we can draw from these laws of spiritual physics that being prophetic is powerfully instrumental to pursuing the high station of living and walking in love. "Pursuing love" is decisively peremptory to authentically living and walking in the Spirit. And, therefore, the manifold evidence of pursuing love is also the feedback loop to living authentically. To live "authentically", we need to both live and walk "in love".
