THESE ARE PERILOUS TIMES

These are perilous times.

The world is at war with itself.

Household turns on household. Nation turns on nation. Husbands turn on wives. Wives turn on husbands. Children turn on their parents. Parents turn on children.

The entire world is in turmoil. It is a raging sea of tempest and travail. For all hell breaks lose — literally.

Behind every war in home and nation is a stratagem of the principalities, powers and rulers of darkness. And of a fallen nature of selfishness turned full throttle in upon itself.

The raging sea of the increasing turmoil of our times is the fruit and evidence of the nature of corruption feeding upon itself, from corruption unto corruption, from decay unto decay, until all is lost.

For is it not written: “in the last days difficult times will come. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, unfeeling, uncooperative, slanderous, degenerate, brutal, hateful of what is good, traitors, reckless, conceited, and lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God. They will hold to an outward form of godliness but deny its power.“ 2 Timothy 3:1-5.

The only trust anchor in this growing sea of turmoil and tempest is You, Father! For You ARE the Rock! Isaiah 44:8. You ARE the strong fortress and foundation! You ARE the cornerstone.!

Your Word promises and speaks of a time “that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God.” Romans 8:21.

Which begins with Your kingdom coming. For when Your kingdom comes, and come it must and will, Your kingdom coming is that moment when the Lord shall be woken up from the slumber that a world and people alienated from God has placed Him in, and coming to Him for help, He shall stand up and rebuke the wind, and say to the sea, "Peace! Be still!" Then the wind shall cease. And of the turmoil and travails, there will a dead calm. And He shall ask, "Why are you afraid?”

O, let Your Kingdom come, great LORD! Let Your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. And with it — and because of it —may Your name be hallowed. For now and for always. Forever and ever. From nation to nation. And household to household.

Let the peace of Your kingdom heal our lands and forgive our sins. So that by Your kingdom coming to every household and nation, we may all “become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust.” 2 Peter 1:4.
