WE ARE IN THE SEASON OF NOAH
In much the same way that as Noah’s “eyes and hands” remained steadfastly fixed upon the single-minded task of preparing the Ark for sealing himself up in the habitation of the Presence of God upon the coming of the rain, that all the world looked upon Noah “as an entirely crazy man”, whilst all the world about him continued in the unbridled revelries of their ways, even now the whole world looks upon all those who are likewise preparing the temple of their bodies as an Ark for the manifest presence of the LORD that is to come during the season of the latter rain “as being equally mad”, whilst continuing unperturbed in the unbridled revelries of their ways.
For all those of the world who look upon those who, like Noah before, busy themselves daily with working on and preparing the temple of the house of the LORD of hosts “as being mad”, is it not said that “none are so blind as those who will not see”? And that “he who laughs last, laughs loudest”? Did not the LORD say “I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when terror strikes you?” (Proverbs 1:26). For did not calamity and terror come upon all those who sneered and mocked when the LORD closed the door of the Ark on Noah, sealing those who ran to the strong tower of the LORD in the secure place when the heavy rains came? Is it not also written that He who closed the door of the Noah’s Ark (being the door to the house of the LORD), that to Him has been given the key to “the house of David”, which is the very same house of the LORD, that what door He opens no one can shut, and what door He shuts no one can open? (Isaiah 22:22).
Did not the LORD also say that My purpose will stand, I declare the end of a thing from its beginning? Which is to say that whilst others may mock and jeer now, in the end He always has the final say? “I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, 'My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’” (Isaiah 46:10). And did He not also say that better is the end of a matter than its beginning? (Ecclesiastes 7:8). Which is to say to those who laugh now, that He shall laugh last? For is it not also written, “Set up road signs; put up guideposts. Take note of the highway, the road that you take. Return, Virgin Israel, return to your towns.” (Jeremiah 31:21). For were not Noah and the Ark a sign and a guidepost, an open invitation, like a highway, for the road for all to take? Did not the Ark beckon as a vivid beacon in plain daylight for all of Israel to return to working on the house of LORD of hosts (spirit, soul and body)? (Haggai 1:14).
In the same way, for those who turn a blind eye to the signs and guideposts of the times we are now in, and who sneer and mock at those who, like the wise virgins who arose at midnight (being the apex of all that is darkness about them) and trimmed their lamps and went out to meet the coming of the Bridegroom, and who now arise in the midnight of all the darkness about us in preparation of the coming of the Bridegroom, is it not also written of them that jeer and them that do not fill their lamps with oil that, “Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:” (Proverbs 1:28). And is it not written that He shall then say, depart from me, you wicked, for I know you not? (Matthew 7:21-23).
And for all those who are seated at the great banqueting table within the Ark of the house of the LORD of hosts, their God, is it also not written, “But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw a man there who did not have on a wedding garment. So he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here without a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless. Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’“ (Matthew 22:11-13).
And is it not also written that for the foolish virgins, being a type of the foolish servant, who like those who mocked Noah and the God of Noah, and found themselves weeping and gnashing their teeth in the outer darkness of being left outside the safe place of the Ark when calamity came, will those who carry on unperturbed in the unbridled revelries of their ways not be like the foolish virgins who, when the calamity of the darkness of the tribulation suddenly comes upon them, will find themselves like the worthless servant cast into the outer darkness, being the place where they chose to build their house rather instead, whilst all those who have read and harkened the signs, chose to run to the strong tower of the name of the LORD? “And throw that worthless servant into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’” (Matthew 25:30).
But for those who read the signs of the times, and who respond to the umbilical call to “return” to the mountain of the temple of the LORD, being the mountain that in the last days will be established as the highest of all the mountains (Isaiah 2:2), high above the waterline of calamity and travail, for them they shall be like the few (a remnant) in the days of Noah who were saved through the water when the outpouring of the latter rain in these last days soon comes. For they shall be like those “who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls (a remnant), were saved through water.” (I Peter 3:20).
For we are now entering and have we now entered the season of Noah.
Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be all the honour and all the glory for ever and ever. Amen. (1 Timothy 1:17).
