IS FAITH NOT THE GREAT ROMANCE?

Is faith not the great romance?

Which is a heart wooed by a truth, and persuaded by a nature, revealed through a courtship with the living and eternal Word?

For being wooed by His tender words into the wilderness of separation and consecration (Hosea 2:14), that we may die to self, is the greatest blessing there is.

Because when we die to self - which is to die to depending on self - it's then that we come alive to depending upon a completely dependable God.

Where this twofold process of dying and coming alive like synchronised swimming, is the pattern of Isaac first laying himself down willingly on the altar of demonstrated love that his father may have his way with him. Which was to then raise him up and release him into his destiny.

Which is the marriage dance of the great romance called faith reserved for all who by faith depend upon a heart and a nature that will never leave us nor forsake us.

That loves us with an eternal love (Jeremiah 31:3).
